leilajepensebien If David Byrne and Johnny Marr decided to make a record with Bedouin Soundclash, it would probably sound something like this.
For the audacity of the vocalist and the effective simplicity of the music, it's a yes for me. Favorite track: Parents.

I roamed around the city asking every old lady what I should do with your love what should I do with your love? Boy, you gotta swim in that love let yourself drown in that love you gotta dive in that love don't think, just sink in that love So here I am at your door begging at your feet on your floor won't you come out for a swim? won't you come out for a swim? I wanna swim in your love I wanna dive in that love let myself drown in that love don't think, just sink in that love

City Lights 04:33
I woke in your bed the stoned city lights above our heards the angels started to cry with the crazy idea that one of us might say goodbye The salt on our lips the taste of sixty sinking sailing ships I kept my eyes open wide just to make sure that you were right here on my side As the blood rushed to our cheeks we held our tongues to paralyzed to speak of the thoughts that raced through our minds eternally seized by the cold city wind that blew down our spines
7.

8.
Letter 04:44

about

ADECOUVRIRABSOLUMENT

ENGLISH:

This is Sweat Like An Ape !'s very first studio album. Their music evolves in that special place where the urgency of punk and the sparkle of pop and dance music cross paths. Although certain new-wave and post-punk influences are unquestionable, these four boys like to mingle with all kinds of groove, be it that of the nigerian king Sir Victor Uwaifo, or the funk-punk of James Chance.

As well as having alot of experience with bands past and present, the members of the band also excel in other domains such as those of graphic novels, visual arts, video-work and script-writing and thus enjoy injecting a sense of intrigue and mystery into their repertoire. In an avalanche of frenetic piercing guitar riffs and intense grooves, their live shows indisputably live up to the bands name.

A year after being formed, this first album, Sixty Sinking Sailing Ships was released in the beginning of February 2015 on Platinum Records.

« An international band endowed with crazy, possesed and absorbing grooves... As dark as a last dance before the Apocalypse, and as radiant as the absolute freeing of the body. » LES INROCKUPTIBLES
